Cut Foreign Aid

The national debt is approaching 16 trillion dollars. Our government is borrowing about 40cents of every dollar it spends. We should be cutting foreign aid. If we have to borrow money to give, we should not be giving it. Our children’s future is looking dismal. We are to selfish to live within our means, to apathetic to care about what our politicians are doing, and to lazy to take a stand.
Foreign aid is being used to buy friendship. Like most of government policies it hasn’t given us good results. When we were kids we were told not to buy friendship by giving away candy etc., real friends don’t need things to be friends. Yet our foreign policy is just that. It is illegal for adults to pay for “friendship” yet our government does it all the time.
We have been paying countries like Pakistan, Egypt, and many others. Many of these countries have not had a good relationship with us and yet we still pay. I could understand the argument for giving money and help after natural disasters, but when we are broke why are we borrowing money to give to corrupt countries. We are taking money from our poor and giving it too rich, corrupt dictators.
So lets use some common sense and stop giving money away that we don’t have. We are stealing from our kids and grand-kids because we haven’t stood up to our leaders. Tell congress to use common sense and stop foreign aid until our fiscal house is in order.
Lets save our future and tell congress to cut foreign aid. Take action by writing congress.
Thank You
